Ali S. Balaban
CEO, Board Member

Ali, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Troysis, is responsible for running the day-to-day strategic and process management of the company. His management experience and leadership has brought great confidence to the company and his co-workers.

Prior to founding Troysis, Ali served as a Managing Director, in charge of IT business solutions strategies, for Fenix Idea, a leading Internet Solutions Company in Turkey. Ali is also specialized in European Union policies and programs for IT, especially the e-Content and Sixth Framework Programs, which offer non-refundable funds for European IT companies.

Ali received his BA in Business Administration and his MA in Strategy from Université Paul Valery in Montpellier, FRANCE. He also received a second MA in international business from the UCLA, USA.

 

Erdal Büyük
CTO

Erdal, Chief Technology Officer of Troysis, is responsible for managing the day-to-day development and QA activities of software development projects in the company. He has full understanding of business and technical aspects of the whole process from business modeling to QA. During his career he has been very successful in selecting and managing talented developers to create best teams possible for a particular project. His strong software engineering background and management experience has turned Troysis into a robust software development factory. At Troysis, he continues to work for multinational companies requiring high quality projects.

Prior to joining Troysis, Erdal served as the Software Development Manager in DataSel, a leading IT Company in Turkey . Before that he worked for Sistek, a provider of large scale custom software for Capital 500 (Turkish version of Fortune 1000) group of companies. His hospital automation platform project was awarded one of the highest grants by TTGV (Turkish Technology Development Foundation). His other industrial software development projects helped companies obtain certifications on traceability and state-of-the-art solutions framework. He is also a database expert with more than ten years of experience. His special interests include QA activities, CMMI, TSP and PSP.

Erdal received his BS in Computer Engineering (1992) and Executive MBA (2002) from Bogazici University . His MBA thesis, Creating an Effective Development System (ref.no: 904-035-1), was the first in this area ever to be published in ECCH (European Case Clearing House), largest collection of management case studies in the world.

 

Kenan Kamil Kenanoglu
CFO, Board Member

Due to his background in finance involving both local and international institutions, Kamil has joined to Troysis team to mainly oversee all financial aspects of the company. Being an industrial engineer by formation, he also dedicates his time on optimizing the work and cash flow.

His experience on treasury and correspondent banking divisions of leading Turkish and foreign banks and his skills on foreign languages makes Kamil a solution provider even on very difficult situations. He enjoys of exploring the IT and software industry thru productive research and relationship management. He also created his own network of key contacts in Turkish business community in order Troysis to access to important institutions in Turkey while using his talent to manage the business practice in a sophisticated environment like Turkey .

Thru his strong management experience, Kamil brings his abilities to intervene to important topics in order to make Troysis more efficient and productive.

Kamil has received this BS degree from Bogazici University , Industrial Engineering Department and is fluent on English, French and Spanish.

 

Serafettin Gunes
Chief Strategist, Board Member

Serafettin has been the main architect in creating Troysis. Although his background is not necessarily related to the IT or the software Industry, he is extremely talented on identifying business opportunities and seeing the trends. Experienced in global emerging markets' asset management for large financial institutions in London, he brings considerable amount of international exposure, knowledge and network to our business in several different aspects. One of his key roles in the company is to work on the institutionalization of our business, making Troysis a leading Turkish and Eastern Europe software outsourcing house. He is also responsible for business development and leading new business ventures for Troysis.

Serafettin is still currently involved in asset management in Europe. Among his previous experiences are portfolio management focusing on emerging markets for a number of Hedge Funds and a large US investment bank in London. (Lotus Capital Partners LLP, SAC Capital LLC, AIS International and DLJ). Prior to working in London, he has had high executive positions in the International Capital Markets and Treasury Departments of a number of market leading Turkish banks.

He has a BS degree in engineering from Istanbul Technical University and an MBA from Darden Graduate School of Business Administration from University of Virginia, USA. He also has an Investment Management Certificate recognized by the FSA in the UK.
